How to Get Peacock TV on Your Smart TV

Before you start, make sure your smart TV can run the Peacock app. Most popular brands, like Samsung, LG, and Vizio, support it. You can visit the Peacock website to see a full list of compatible devices. If your TV is on the list, you’re good to go!

Step 1: Download the Peacock App

  1. Turn on your smart TV and head to its app store. Every smart TV has one—it might be called something like “Smart Hub” or “Apps.”

  2. Once you’re there:

    • Type “Peacock” into the search bar.

    • Find the Peacock app in the results.

    • Click “Download” or “Install” to add it to your TV.

Step 2: Open the Peacock App

After the app finishes downloading, look for it on your TV’s home screen or app menu. Click on it to open it. When it loads, you’ll see options to either sign in or sign up.

Step 3: Sign In or Sign Up

Now it’s time to get into your account:

  • If you already have a Peacock account: Choose “Sign In.” Enter your email and password using the on-screen keyboard.

  • If you don’t have an account yet: Select “Sign Up” or “Pick a Plan.” Follow the steps to create a new account and choose a subscription that fits you.

Step 4: Activate Your TV (If Needed)

Sometimes, your smart TV will ask you to activate the app. If this happens:

  1. An activation code will pop up on your TV screen.

  2. Grab another device, like your phone or computer, and go to peacocktv.com/tv.

  3. Type in the code from your TV and hit activate. Your TV should connect to your account after this.

Step 5: Start Watching

Once you’re signed in or activated, you’re all set! Browse through Peacock’s library of shows, movies, and live sports. Pick something you like and start streaming on your smart TV.

What to Do If You Run Into Problems

If the Peacock app doesn’t show up in your app store:

  • Check if your TV’s software needs an update. Go to your TV’s settings and look for a “Software Update” option.

  • Double-check that your TV model supports Peacock by visiting the Peacock website.

  • Search for the app again in the store. If it’s still missing, the Peacock Help Center online can give you more tips.
